Independent is the parent company of Warner Bros, who distributed the Batman Trilogy. This parent company has many subsidiaries, some of which include: HBO and IPC Media. Therefore, it would be vertically integrated. This is beneficial to the Batman film as the links enable more advertising and synergies in different areas of the media, such as: magazines and TV networks etc. As Warner Bros are a subsidiary of such as huge global company it enables their films to have higher budgets. Warner Bros also have links with Universal, for example: The Harry Potter series now has a theme park under their company in Florida. Batman has many cross media conversions as it has been made in television shows, video games and soundtracks.
